I did not come to watch over the world. I came to listen to what the world keeps inside.
Everything I make is born within, in that still place where beauty makes no noise. I paint roosters that do not crow to wake us, but to remind us that we are still here. I trace runes not to divine the future, but to name what we already are and had forgotten.
Outside there is so much noise. Ego disguised as triumph. Hatred dressed up as opinion. Small, everyday malice that believes it wins because it shouts the loudest.
But I have learned something else: that love is not naive. Love is an act of disobedience. Choosing beauty when everything invites cynicism is my way of resisting.
For years the Sentinel was my archetype. The one who keeps watch, who does not sleep, who holds everything up. Until I understood that I did not come to be a sentinel. I came to learn to bloom late.
Blooming late is a fruit, not an escape. It is letting the sentinel finally sit down, lower its weapon and look at its own garden.
This book is that garden.
Vine a aprender a florecer tarde.
